Lacklustre 03:47
“Lacklustre” Music and Lyrics by Matthew Schwartz and Matt Wells This liquids helping but I’m hoping for a better way So I can open up your head and figure out which day Somethings crossed with a spark you forgot my name This morning’s gory with no story on what made you change I’m sick of hearing sirens steering me to what seems right While I feel left all alone to drive around all night Well maybe call with a line so contrived you’ll scream Devise a plan blast your name just to cause a scene. Well since you tasted today It’s hard to swallow yesterday So choke it down you say You loved me yesterday If this is better than forever then I’ll stay in line So i can spit out all the kisses that I thought were mine So i was wrong, just move on when you trip and fall Just think of me and we’ll both agree that you’ve lost it all

“Until It’s You” Music by Matthew Schwartz Lyrics by Matthew Schwartz and Matt Wells Caught a thought on a cross town train In the dark though it sounds insane I’ve lost it, I’ve lost it And it felt like a shotgun shell to the heart Though it burned like hell I missed it, I've missed it All in all it’s you All in all there's nothing left to lose All in all it’s you All in all is never all that much Until it’s you Made a wish that i'd like to kiss goodbye Though i still insist on thinking On dreaming Of a smile fresh faced and far away I can’t replace by drinking I’m faking I’ve looked around there's nothing left to lose

Ms. You 03:36
“Ms. You” Music by Matthew Schwartz Lyrics by Matthew Schwartz and Matt Wells Ms. You You said goodbye and / I said goodbye and Soaked our past in low grade gas and left New flames They always seem to Burnout quick but this one lit me up For all the times I wondered about life outside of you So i tried, I guess I’m wrong Lately I’m sick to death cause she infects my second guessing, troubled/troubling mind Revenge tastes so sweet You lick your lips and crack you whip And laugh while I just sing I’m coming back, I’m coming back Around I found that I’m seeing things better when Face down Through all the injuries and memories / memories and injuries I miss you You live and learn Burn, baby, burn Knee deep in what I’ve done
4.
“Eleven-Fifteen-O-Three” Music by Matthew Schwartz Lyrics by Matthew Schwartz and Matt Wells Couldn’t write an ending better standing speechless with your letter You penned it perfectly I think the weather had my hands too cold to hold her for the better So i let go of you It’s been the best, it was the worst, i thought at first this space was great for My bloated sense of style After a while it just grows wild in the sun or when it’s watered It’s watered down Cause It’s quiet out and I don’t want to be alone when the sun comes up I’m finding out that I don’t want to be alone when the night is up No i don’t wanna be alone My saturday's your sunday i know early august was your birthday I know it missed it girl I’m really sorry this pacific time is hardly any excuse For what I put you through I take it back, blue and black, on a track of a train wreck I did this to myself A power surge, a clever word, i feel the urge for a come back So come on back Cut my tongue out for bad taste Said my piece, rested my case And hung the jury one by one I don’t wanna be alone I don’t wanna be alone I don’t wanna be alone when the sun is coming I don’t mean to be absurd Chasing all these action verbs Breaking everything I’m dying for trying to deaden the feeling

It's Over 03:33
“It’s Over” Music by Matthew Schwartz Lyrics by Matthew Schwartz and Matt Wells I’ll part the sea and drown And sing without a sound With cigarettes and sin keeping you around Enough to let me down It’s over The sharpest hands of time Cut the ties that bind When walking arm in arm means dragging me behind A failure by design It’s over With a will still too strong To say that I am wrong I’m burning down I can’t fan the flames of change You said it’s over I know it’s over Why did I ever pray for rain? The deadliest wish is a kiss on the lips cause I always knew it’d end this way I’ll play with broken glass to slice a better half of a seven letter word to redefine the past rewind what played too fast It’s over I see this comforts killing me So here’s goodbye

about

During the pandemic the original Pacifico boys had a group message going. In it, Matt shared these countryfied renditions of older Pacifico songs. We loved them and I told him at some point I'd release them - Well, here they are!

He recorded them all himself at home in 2020
